What we buy

Copper, aluminum and industrial cable, by the reel

Every page on this site is about wire and cable. If it is not wire or cable, we do not buy it.

Wire types and sizes

If it carries power or signal, it is worth a look

Unused material only is the strongest fit, but partial reels, overstock, cancelled-project inventory and discontinued stock are all reviewed.

Who we buy from

Shops, plants and facilities across Massachusetts

If your business stocks wire for projects, you are likely to have surplus worth pricing.

Electrical contractors

Leftover reels from a finished job, mis-ordered wire, or a job that changed scope after the material landed.

Electrical distributors and wholesalers

Slow-moving stock, discontinued part numbers, damaged cartons, and reels that no longer fit the shelf.

Manufacturers and industrial plants

Maintenance stock after a line upgrade, surplus from a cancelled capital project, and wire from plant shutdowns.

Utilities and power contractors

Distribution-class cable, concentric-neutral and shielded cable, and utility stock that is no longer used.

Data centers and telecom contractors

Tray cable, control and instrumentation cable, grounding wire and low-voltage cable from fit-outs and expansions.

Hospitals, universities and institutions

Facilities and campus engineering departments with surplus from renovations, lab fit-outs and equipment changeovers.

Construction and demolition contractors

Wire recovered during strip-outs and decommissioning, plus unused material from projects that closed out early.

Marine, port and transportation contractors

Shipyard, terminal and rail work that leaves flexible cable, welding cable and control cable behind.

Biotech, pharma and laboratory facilities

Clean-room and lab buildouts where the electrical package changed and the wire was already delivered.

How it works

Three steps, no obligation

  1. 01

    Send the details and photos

Use the quote form or call. Give us the wire type, metal, size, voltage, footage or reel count, condition and the city where the material is stored. Add photos of the reel tags, jacket legends and wire ends.

  2. 02

We review the material and quote it

We identify the cable from its markings and tags, check what the market is paying for that construction and size, and come back with a price or a short list of questions.

  3. 03

    Coordinate pickup if accepted

If the quote works for you, we schedule pickup or freight, confirm loading access, and handle the paperwork so the reels leave your yard on an agreed date.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What types of surplus wire do you buy in Massachusetts?

We buy building wire such as THHN, THWN and XHHW, industrial cable including MC, tray cable, VFD and control cable, service and underground cable such as SER, SEU, URD and USE-2, bare copper and grounding wire, welding and SOOW flexible cable, low-voltage and fire-alarm cable, and medium-voltage cable from 5kV through 35kV and above. Wire and cable only, not equipment.

Do you buy partial reels and unused cut lengths?

Yes. Full reels are the easiest to price, but partial reels, spools, coils, cartons and unused cut lengths are all considered. Tell us the approximate footage or weight and send a photo of the reel tag or jacket legend so the material can be identified.

How do I get a price for my wire?

Send the wire type, metal, size, voltage, footage or reel count, condition and the city where the material sits, with a few photos. We review the markings, tags and labels, then come back with a quote or with questions if something is unclear.

How do photos help my quote?

Photos of the reel tag, the jacket legend, the wire ends and the overall reel tell us the manufacturer, gauge, voltage rating and condition without a site visit. Clear photos usually mean a faster and firmer number.

Do you pick up wire anywhere in Massachusetts?

We arrange pickup or freight across Massachusetts, from Greater Boston and the North Shore to Worcester, Springfield, the South Shore, Fall River, New Bedford and Cape Cod. Tell us the loading access at the site so the right truck and equipment are sent.

Can you work with wire that has no labels or tags?

Often, yes. Send photos of the jacket print, the conductor, and the wire end. If the material cannot be positively identified we will say so rather than guess at a grade or a price.
