Industrial cable

WE BUY SURPLUS MC, TRAY CABLE AND VFD CABLE

Armored, tray-rated and drive cable is bought by the job and left behind by the job. We review unused MC, AC, tray, VFD and shielded industrial cable from contractors, OEMs and plants throughout Massachusetts.

Industrial cable we buy from Massachusetts businesses

  • MC cable, including aluminum and steel armored
  • AC and BX cable in coil and reel put-ups
  • Tray cable, TC and TC-ER
  • VFD and drive cable with shielded construction
  • Armored and sheathed power cable
  • Machine tool and flexible industrial cable
  • Shielded and overall-screened power cable

Industrial cable is where the specification matters most. Tray cable rated TC-ER is not the same product as a length of portable cord, and a VFD cable with a copper tape shield and symmetrical grounds is a different item again. The jacket legend tells us all of it, which is why a close photo of the print is the single most useful thing you can send.

The surplus usually appears at the end of an equipment install or a plant upgrade: a partial reel of tray cable after a rack was re-cabled, VFD cable left from a drive replacement, or a coil of MC that was cut short. In Massachusetts we see a steady supply from automation and precision manufacturing, food and pharma production, and the contractors who service those plants.

Send the cable type, conductor count, size and voltage rating, plus the footage and a photo of the reel tag. If the cable was cut and re-banded, note that too. Armored and tray cable holds up well in storage, so condition is usually the easy part of the review.

Details that make an industrial cable quote accurate

The construction, the approvals printed on the jacket, and the remaining length decide most of the value. When those are clear, the review is quick.

  • Cable type as printed: MC, AC, TC, TC-ER, VFD, PLTC
  • Conductor count and size, including ground
  • Voltage rating and temperature rating
  • Armor or shield construction
  • Reel, coil or carton, and whether the factory bands are intact

We buy from across the state, including every Massachusetts region, and review material against the same standard whether it is one reel or a warehouse shelf.

Questions

Industrial cable questions

Do you buy MC cable in partial coils?

Yes. Partial coils are reviewed on the remaining footage and the condition of the armor. A photo of the coil with the cut end visible is enough to start.

Is VFD cable accepted with the shield damaged?

It is reviewed case by case. Damage to the shield or jacket reduces what can be offered, so show it in a photo rather than describing it later.

Can you review a mixed pallet of industrial cable?

Yes. List each item with its type and size and photograph the tags. Mixed lots are quoted line by line.

Reels sitting in the yard? Get them priced.

Send the wire type, size and a few photos. We will review the material and tell you what it is worth before anything moves.
