WE BUY SURPLUS CABLE AND WIRE IN CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS
We buy unused wire and cable from mills, plants and contractors all across Central Massachusetts, from Worcester north to Gardner.
Worcester, Fitchburg, Leominster, Clinton and Gardner were built on mills, and the reuse of those buildings is still the region's main source of construction work. Conversions to housing, storage and small manufacturing mean new circuits run through old framing, plus demolition of whatever the last tenant left. Reels abandoned in a mill basement are common. So is new cable left over when a phase finishes early. We look at both and tell you which is which.
Worcester's three-deckers and the older housing stock in Webster and Southbridge keep remodelers busy. A single rehab can produce a few hundred feet of leftover NM cable and a coil of service wire. Those lots are small, but they add up across a season, and we will look at them one at a time. Several small lots from the same shop can be combined into one pickup when they are stored together.
The region also carries distribution centers along I-90 and I-395 and a growing biomanufacturing cluster around Devens and Worcester. Larger facilities generate larger lots: tray cable, control cable and medium voltage runs left from a utility tie-in or a plant reconfiguration. That work is usually planned in advance, so a pickup can be scheduled around a shutdown window when access is simple and the building is quiet.
Central Massachusetts is wide. Worcester sits at the center, but Fitchburg is a long drive north and Sturbridge is a similar distance south. We build routes by corridor, one day for the north county and another for the I-395 towns, so a single pickup does not become a four-hour round trip for one pallet. Tell us the address and we will slot it into the right run.

Who we buy from in Central Massachusetts
- Electrical contractors
- Crews moving between mill rehabs and housing work collect a wide range of leftover cable. Mixed lots are normal, and we sort them on site.
- Mill building owners
- Owners of converted mill space often inherit wire from earlier tenants. Basement and attic storage is where the older material tends to be.
- Distribution and warehouse operators
- Facilities along I-90 and I-395 hold spare cable for maintenance and expansions. Unused spares from a completed project are the usual call.
- Biomanufacturing facility teams
- Plant reconfigurations around Devens and Worcester leave tray and control cable behind. Those pickups are best scheduled around a shutdown.
Pickup and loading notes
- North county and I-395 towns routed on separate days
- Larger plant lots scheduled around shutdown windows
- Mill buildings checked for elevator and stair access before pickup

Questions
Central Massachusetts questions
Do you take wire that has been sitting in a mill basement for years?
We will look at it. Dry storage in a mill is often kinder to wire than people expect, but water damage and crushed reels are common reasons to decline a lot.
Can you handle wire left after a plant reconfiguration?
Yes, and that work is best planned ahead. Tell us the shutdown dates and where the reels will be staged so the pickup does not interfere with production.
Is a few hundred feet of NM cable worth a call?
It can be, particularly when several small lots sit together. Send one photo of the pile and we will say whether it justifies the drive.
Do you travel to Gardner and Fitchburg?
We do, usually on a north county run. Those stops get grouped with Leominster and Clinton so the travel makes sense.
