WE BUY SURPLUS CABLE AND WIRE IN METROWEST
We buy surplus wire and cable from contractors, distributors and property teams along the Route 9 and I-495 corridors in MetroWest.
Route 9 and the I-495 belt hold a large share of the state's suburban office parks, and many of those buildings are being reworked for lab and technical tenants. A conversion means new circuits, new data runs and new fire alarm cable. It also means the previous tenant's spare stock gets cleared out before the new work starts. Contractors on those jobs end up holding reels that the next phase will not use, and the storage question lands on somebody.
Framingham, Marlborough and Milford mix industrial parks with retail and office, and that mix produces odd lots. A few hundred feet of tray cable from one job, a coil of XHHW from another, a half reel of Cat6 left after a network refresh. Small quantities are fine when they are labeled. We would rather look at five partial reels than hear they went into a dumpster because nobody wanted to make a call over a small lot.
Distributors and supply houses along the corridor stock material for hundreds of accounts, and slow movers accumulate. Discontinued colors, odd lengths and reels cut from a cancelled order all take rack space. We buy that material and take it away in one trip, with the count confirmed against your pick list before anything leaves the building. Larger distributor lots can be handled in stages if the racks need to stay organized.
The corridor is easy to cover. Route 9 runs straight west from Boston, the Mass Pike parallels it, and I-495 links the northern and southern halves of the region. A pickup day can start in Natick, work through Framingham and Westborough and finish near Milford without much backtracking. Tell us the towns involved and the stops get grouped sensibly instead of crisscrossing the map.

Who we buy from in MetroWest
- Electrical contractors
- Fit-out and service crews working the office parks finish projects with leftover cable in several sizes. We buy the whole shelf rather than one reel at a time.
- Lab and office property managers
- Conversions leave behind tenant improvements and spare stock from the prior use. We clear wire and cable without touching the rest of the building.
- Electrical distributors
- Slow-moving reels and cancelled orders tie up rack space along the corridor. Those lots are straightforward to price when the tags are intact.
- Industrial park tenants
- Tenants in the mixed parks around Framingham and Milford keep spares for maintenance. Spares that never got used are usually still in good condition.
Pickup and loading notes
- One route covers the Route 9 towns and the I-495 belt in a day
- Dock access is usually simple in suburban office and industrial parks
- Stops grouped by exit to keep travel short

Questions
MetroWest questions
Do you buy cable left after an office building is converted for lab use?
Yes, that is one of the more common lots in this region. Unused cable from a phased conversion is easy to price when the reels are still tagged and the lengths are marked.
Will you come out for a few partial reels?
Small lots are normal here. Send photos of each reel and the town it sits in, and we can often combine the stop with another pickup on the same corridor.
Can you clear slow-moving stock from a distributor counter?
We can. Send a list with sizes and lengths and we will go through it before scheduling. Nothing is removed until you have seen the offer.
How do you handle a building with no loading dock?
Many of the smaller parks have a grade-level door instead. Tell us the door width and whether a pallet jack can reach the storage room.

Send the material details and photos. We will confirm whether it is a fit and what it is worth before any pickup is scheduled.
